Omnix360 vs. Canvas: Do You Need Both?

Canvas delivers and grades courses. Omnix360 diagnoses misconceptions and verifies reteach. Keep Canvas; add Omnix360 when teachers need why, not only 62%.

GrowWise · Team · Last updated

Short answer: Keep Canvas if you need institutional course delivery and grading. Add Omnix360 when teachers need to know why a student missed an item and whether reteaching closed it. Omnix360 does not replace Canvas. LTI 1.3 for Canvas is on the product roadmap (Next), not in the current product.

Canvas is the right system of record for "what was assigned and what score was recorded." Omnix360 is the system for "which misconception, which reteach, and did it close."

When should you keep Canvas and skip Omnix360?

Stay on Canvas alone if teachers already diagnose misconceptions systematically, verify reteach within a week, and your problem is scheduling, content, or gradebook workflow rather than diagnosis.

When should you add Omnix360 beside Canvas?

Add it when leaders still cannot see pacing drift or topic-level risk until report cards, or when two sections of the same course cannot be compared by evidence. During a pilot, use Omnix360's built-in LMS. When LTI 1.3 ships, the intended path is Canvas for delivery and Omnix360 for diagnosis.

About Omnix360: Omnix360 is teacher-facing instructional infrastructure built by GrowWise. It reads students' wrong answers, names the misconception behind them, gives the teacher a reteach plan to approve, and shows whether the reteach worked. The AI never interacts with students. It runs on its own built-in LMS today. LTI 1.3 tool launches for connecting beside an existing LMS are on the roadmap; see integrations.
