Notification policies

Overview​

Notification Policies chooses which events notify which roles, and on which channels (email or WhatsApp when set up).

School admins.

Before you start​

Know which events parents and teachers should receive. Parent WhatsApp needs phone numbers.

How to use it​

Configure notification policies​

  1. Open Notification Policies.
  2. Toggle events, channels, and recipient roles.
  3. Save and send a test if available.
  4. Confirm a pilot parent or teacher receives the notification.

Tips​

  • Parent Messages is mostly an alert feed. Policy changes affect what appears there.

If you get stuck​

  • Cannot open the page: ask another admin.
  • Parents get nothing: check the parent–student link, phone, channels, and Parent role.
